Baseball Game Preview: Gravette Lions vs. Green Forest Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Gravette Lions face off against Green Forest Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Gravette's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Green Forest has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Gravette's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gentry by a score of 3-0.

Meanwhile, Green Forest came up short against Prairie Grove on Tuesday and fell 9-6.

Green Forest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Meador, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one double. Another was Ryne Stone, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Gravette has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Green Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
