Softball Recap: Garrison Takes a Loss

After flying high against Martinsville last Tuesday, Garrison came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shelbyville Dragons on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Garrison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Shelbyville, their record now sits at 8-11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrison will take on Timpson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelbyville, they will face off against Chireno at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Owls have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
