Basketball Recap: Willard Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

On Saturday, the Willard Crimson Flashes were able to grind out a solid victory over the Monroeville Eagles, taking the game 61-53.

Willard is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Monroeville, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Willard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroeville, they will challenge New London at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroeville is facing New London at the right time seeing as New London is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
