Soccer Recap: Ponte Vedra Falls Short Against Ranked Montverde Academy

On Friday, Ponte Vedra faced Montverde Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ponte Vedra Sharks came up short against the Montverde Academy Eagles, falling 4-1. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Ponte Vedra's goal came courtesy of Lily Morse, who's now up to 12 this season.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 10-2-2. As for Montverde Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
