Softball Recap: Osceola Takes a Loss

Osceola and Melbourne squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Osceola had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. The Kowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Tenley Dawson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Yeidy Rosa, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Melbourne, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-12.

Osceola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Melbourne, they will take on Viera at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
