Softball Recap: Nevada Union Takes a Loss

Nevada Union lost against Roseville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Miners took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nevada Union saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Tesene, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Aryah Berkowitz, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Nevada Union's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-1. As for Roseville, they moved to 6-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Nevada Union and Roseville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Miners will face off against River Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (753 vs. 292). Meanwhile, Roseville (ranked 343rd) will meet Yuba City (ranked 121st) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
