Baseball Recap: Granada Comes Up Short

Granada had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-12 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Eads Eagles by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Friday.

As for Eads, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average this season.

For Eads' part, Shaine Winder was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs. Spencer Uhland was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granada is set to face off against their familiar foe Stratton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eads will square off against rival McClave at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
