Basketball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Pike County Bulldogs

Opp hasn't had much luck against Pike County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Opp Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Pike County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Opp faced off against Straughn on Friday. Opp was beaten by Straughn 49-16.

Meanwhile, Pike County is still winless after their matchup against New Brockton on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gamecocks. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Opp's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Pike County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Opp strolled past Pike County in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a score of 30-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Opp since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
