Everything went their way against the Bluefield Beavers on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-3 win. Considering the Flying Eagles have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Gage Price was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Price was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, Maddex Sims was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Evan Tyree also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
