Baseball Recap: Maiden's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Maiden lost against South Caldwell back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Maiden Blue Devils fell just short of the South Caldwell Spartans by a score of 4-2.

Maiden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Williams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Brycen James, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Maiden's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maiden will take on Lincoln Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Caldwell, they will venture away from home to face off against North Gaston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
