Santa Fe Christian had won eight straight games and Dax Hall did his part to make it nine on Saturday. The Eagles strolled past the Torrey Pines Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 59-42 with plenty of help from Hall, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine assists. His big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Hitipeuw, who went 7-for-8 en route to 16 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 49.3% shooting accuracy.

Torrey Pines' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Humphrey, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds. Humphrey is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. Jaylan Virgil was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

Santa Fe Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Torrey Pines, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Santa Fe Christian will head out to face off against Rancho Buena Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will be up against the Longhorns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.1 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Torrey Pines, they will be home for the holidays to greet Los Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
