Recap: Delta Rabbits vs. Richfield Wildcats
The Delta Rabbits's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richfield. Delta has not had much luck with Richfield recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Cai Henderson, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 54.3% of Delta's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kale Brough, who scored three points along with four steals.
Miles Barnett was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points for Richfield. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Fautin, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Delta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Richfield, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delta will face off against Manti at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manti has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 596 points over their last nine games. As for Richfield, they will head out on the road to take on Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon View is on a four-game streak of home wins, Richfield a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
