Volleyball Recap: Southlands Christian Eagles vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers
Southlands Christian entered their matchup against Western Christian on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Western Christian scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21.
This is the second loss in a row for Southlands Christian and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Western Christian, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southlands Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
