Basketball Recap: West Picks Up 15th Consecutive Win

West put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Highland Rams 83-22. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Fina Tuha continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 12 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Falatea, who posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.

West pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.6 points per game. As for Highland, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Coincidentally, West and Highland will both be playing Olympus the next time they take the court. West will head out to face Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Highland will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
