The biggest upset of the week belonged to Unioto, who took down 521st ranked Unioto, 34-31.
Huntington moved up to 552 from 620 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Scioto Valley. The Huntsmen were able to make the jump by beating the Shermans 34-31.
Piketon's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Issac Brabson threw for 226 and four touchdowns and Jeremy Farmer had 70 yards receiving. On the ground Brabson chipped in 101 yards. Chaz Bowman helped Piketon's passing attack out by catching six balls for 55 yards.
The Redstreaks' Brabson and Colten William have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Brabson has thrown for 1102 yards this season, while William has 19 catches for 351 yards. John Vanderpool from Unioto leads the league in rushing with 660 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Piketon takes on Jerry Hudnell's team. Tyler Gullion's team is currently in second, while the Shermans are in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Redstreaks and Unioto face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Piketon comes in having scored 144 this season, while the Shermans have scored 121. The Redstreaks scored 27 points last week as they topped Zane Trace.
Westfall extended the longest winning streak in Scioto Valley this week by beating Paint Valley, 21-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Mustangs.
