Preview: North Thurston Rams vs. Steilacoom Sentinels
North Thurston is 3-0 against Steilacoom since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The North Thurston Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Steilacoom Sentinels at 2:00 p.m. North Thurston has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 553 points over their last eight matchups.
North Thurston can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They blew past Timberline, posting a 67-38 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory North Thurston has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Soraya Ogaldez, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alexis Meyer, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Steilacoom was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 41-36 to Clover Park.
North Thurston pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Steilacoom, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Everything came up roses for North Thurston against Steilacoom in their previous matchup back in November of 2021 as the team secured a 68-21 win. With North Thurston ahead 43-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
