The Madonna Blue Dons will square off against the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Madonna will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Madonna won the last time they faced Notre Dame and Sophie Brady did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blue Dons came out on top against the Fighting Irish by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Brady, who had 23 assists and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Madonna took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clay-Battelle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Valley 3-0 on Thursday. The Cee-Bees not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 25th (when they won 3-0).
Clay-Battelle walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-19.
Madonna better focus on containing Adelyn King and Sophia Sandone as the pair were huge in Clay-Battelle's win. King had eight digs and one assist, while Sandone had ten digs. That's the most digs King has posted over her last six matches. Bailey Willard also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Clay-Battelle's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Madonna, their win bumped their record up to 15-6-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: Madonna has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Clay-Battelle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Madonna couldn't quite get it done against Clay-Battelle in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Blue Dons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
