League recap: Superior tops Centerville to extend winning streak

Western C (8 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012

Superior extended the longest winning streak in Western C (8 Man) this week by beating Centerville, 66-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Noxon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Red Devils came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.

Tra Ludeman and Tra Ludeman gave Charlo a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Ludeman threw for 156 yards and four touchdowns, while Ludeman ran for 192 yards. Jacen Petersen also contributed to the rushing game with 92 yards on the ground.

Billy Smith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Superior beat the Miners. He completed 18 passes for 313 yards and also ran for 105 yards. Smith's favorite target this week was Adam Kay, who caught seven passes for 243 yards.

Victor's Matt Kittel and Kyle Ball have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kittel has thrown for 2765 yards this season, while Ball has 81 catches for 1172 yards. Josh Erickson from Lincoln leads the league in rushing with 1863 yards.

He has recorded 97 catches for 971 yards this year.

Allan Labbe's team took down Centerville 66-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Smith in the win.
