Basketball Recap: Tushka Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Caney wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tushka, they should've done a better job of containing Cleat Zike. The Tushka Tigers came out on top against the Caney Cougars by a score of 61-51 on Tuesday thanks in part to Zike, who went 8 of 12 en route to 22 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Tushka's points.

Another player making a difference was Tucker Willis, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Tushka is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Caney, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tushka will square off against Rock Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caney, they will face off against Bennington at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
