It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Kimberly ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Preston Indians. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ryder Stephenson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lucas Khan, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Kimberly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Preston only posted a batting average of .200.

The win made it two in a row for Kimberly and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Kimberly will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Buhl at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Preston, they will challenge Snake River at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
