Basketball Recap: Preuss UCSD Tritons vs. Morse Tigers

Preuss UCSD lost against Morse back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Preuss UCSD Tritons fell 65-54 to the Morse Tigers.

Morse's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayren Sunico, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance also gave Sunico a new career-high in boards (four). Jamarion Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Preuss UCSD's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Morse, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.

Preuss UCSD wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Monarch on the 9th. As for Morse, they will face off against Logan Memorial Education Campus at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Morse has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
