Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Gibbs Gladiators
The Robinson Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Gibbs Gladiators on February 10th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Saturday.
Robinson extended their postseason success on Thursday against Lakewood. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans and snuck past 66-64.
Jordan Mickens was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Dylan Russell was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Gibbs can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jefferson 75-33 at home. With Gibbs ahead 55-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Robinson's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Gibbs, their win bumped their record up to 21-5.
Robinson suffered a grim 70-48 defeat to Gibbs in their previous meeting back in February of 2015. Can Robinson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
