Volleyball Recap: Weiser Wolverines vs. Cole Valley Christian Chargers
After flying high against Emmett last Thursday, Weiser came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell just short of the Cole Valley Christian Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Weiser started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 15-8.
Alyssa Hedegaard was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 16 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups. Greta Wilde also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Weiser's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-8. As for Cole Valley Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.
