The Orangewood Christian Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Edgewater Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangewood Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Edgewater's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Orangewood Christian barely beat Trinity Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Orangewood Christian was the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Trinity Christian Academy on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
Tre Roach made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Orangewood Christian let Addison Lambert and Austin Wendorf run wild. Lambert scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Wendorf scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Lambert a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Balls, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Orangewood Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .294.
Meanwhile, Edgewater got themselves on the board against Belleview on Monday, but Belleview never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Rattlers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Nicholas Collins was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
Edgewater now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Orangewood Christian, their record is now 9-6.
Everything went Orangewood Christian's way against Edgewater in their previous meeting back in February, as Orangewood Christian made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orangewood Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
