Patrick Henry got a massive performance out of Kasey Nelson, who scored a run while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Sophie Schwab, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Nelson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Patrick Henry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Tinora beat Continental 8-4 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
Zoe Billings made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.
In other batting news, Tinora let Paige Gamby and Christina Meyer run wild. Gamby went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Meyer scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That triple was Gamby's first of the season. Zoe Roesti was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Tinora pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Patrick Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Both Patrick Henry and Tinora just can't seem to miss. The Patriots have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Tinora struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits.
