Basketball Recap: Seaside Comes Up Short

If Seaside was riding high fresh off their 62-36 takedown of Stevenson last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seaside Seagulls lost 55-35 to the Scappoose Indians on Friday. The Seagulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Scappoose, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Seaside will square off against Astoria at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Scappoose, they will head out on the road to take on St. Helens at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Helens' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
