Soccer Game Preview: Buena vs. Flowing Wells

The Buena Colts will challenge the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Buena has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Flowing Wells will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Wednesday, Buena didn't have quite enough to beat Desert View and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Jaguars are ranked 31st).

Marcus Rodriguez and Julian Diaz Pacheco scored both of Buena's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Flowing Wells kept a clean sheet against Douglas on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Flowing Wells has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those 12 games. As for Buena, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.
