Recap: Dixie Flyers vs. Canyon View Falcons
The Dixie Flyers lost against the Canyon View Falcons back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dixie took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon View.
Despite the loss, Dixie still got an impressive performance from Kealah Faumuina, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Faumuina's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Bundy, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Maya Nichols was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with five steals for Canyon View. Bethanee Vargas was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Dixie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Canyon View, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Dixie will head out on the road to face off against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hurricane is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Canyon View, they will be playing at home against Juab at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Juab focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
