Basketball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

Jordan lost against Columbus back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jordan Red Jackets lost 68-47 to the Columbus Blue Devils. The Red Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaireus Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Smith Carver, who posted 13 points.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Jordan has already played their next matchup (against Sumter County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Columbus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-40 defeat against Shaw on the 1st.
