Basketball Recap: Trace Hall Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat A.L. Brown

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Norman, West Cabarrus was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took down the A.L. Brown Wonders 63-48. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 46-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

West Cabarrus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trace Hall out in front who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points. Camari Mccrae was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

West Cabarrus was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why A.L. Brown lost, don't look at Ter?Ryan Brewer. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Brewer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tristan Sifford, who posted six points and five rebounds.

West Cabarrus' record is now 6-8. As for A.L. Brown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

West Cabarrus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-57 loss against Mooresville on the 14th. A.L. Brown has also already played their next contest, an 82-45 defeat against Lake Norman on the 15th.
