Volleyball Game Preview: Woodstock Wolverines vs. Cherokee Warriors

The Woodstock Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Cherokee Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Woodstock picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Wheeler 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Woodstock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Cherokee posted their closest victory since October 10, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past South Forsyth 2-1.

Cherokee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Woodstock, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Woodstock skirted past Cherokee 2-1 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
