             Vista del Lago was the  35-28 winner over Christian Brothers when they last played one another  back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Vista del Lago Eagles fell  36-28 to the Christian Brothers Falcons on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 317th, while the Falcons are ranked 156th).
 When it comes to explaining why Vista del Lago lost, don't look at  Matthew Werpy. Despite the final result, he picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Brothers to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jay Cummings, who rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown.
