Basketball Recap: Crawford Comes Up Short

Crawford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 57-42 fall against the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Cowboys/Cowgirls from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Crawford still got an impressive performance from Taylor Homan, who posted 16 points along with eight steals and seven boards. The contest was Homan's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Payton Horan was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Crawford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Cody-Kilgore, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Crawford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-25 loss against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 8th. As for Cody-Kilgore, they have also already played their next matchup, a 70-30 victory against Minatare on the 8th.
