Volleyball Recap: Simeon Comes Up Short at Home Against Goode STEM Academy

Simeon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goode STEM Academy Knights on Tuesday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Goode STEM Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21.

The win got Goode STEM Academy back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Simeon will square off against rival Hyde Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Goode STEM Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Agricultural Science at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
