Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Continues Home Dominance on Monday

St. Mary had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 65-29 victory over the Loyola Crusaders. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 23 contests by 22 points or more this season.

St. Mary's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2. As for Loyola, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Martin County West at 7:00 p.m. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Martin County West likes a good challenge. Loyola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
