Thursday just wasn't the day for Breathitt County's offense. They fell just short of the Pike County Central Hawks by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Raelan Back spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Breathitt County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Pelfrey, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Breathitt County's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Pike County Central, they pushed their record up to 17-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
