Basketball Game Preview: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights vs. Mountain Lake/Comfrey

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton is 3-0 against Mountain Lake/Comfrey since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights will head out to face off against Mountain Lake/Comfrey at 7:30 p.m. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton against Red Rock Central as the squad secured a 66-38 victory.

Meanwhile, Mountain Lake/Comfrey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 55-27 loss at the hands of Westbrook-Walnut Grove. While losing is never fun, Mountain Lake/Comfrey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Westbrook-Walnut Grove is ranked 183rd).

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Mountain Lake/Comfrey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton strolled past Mountain Lake/Comfrey when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 49-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
