After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison Prep Academy, the Istrouma Indians were happy to have found some success on Monday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 66-26 win over Northeast. For Istrouma, this counts as revenge for the 51-40 defeat Northeast walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Istrouma found their leader in underclassman Eryn Brown, who dropped a double-double on 52 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Istrouma's points. Another player making a difference was A'tiona Augustus, who scored 6 points along with 6 steals.
Istrouma now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
