Basketball Recap: St. Mary Academy-Bay View Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

St. Mary Academy-Bay View had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Qiana Sumner did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals strolled past the Classical Purple with points to spare, taking the game 57-40 thanks in part to Sumner, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

St. Mary Academy-Bay View's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Classical, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary Academy-Bay View will head out to face off against Moses Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Classical, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chariho at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
