Volleyball Recap: Ponca Takes a Loss

Ponca lost against Pierce back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17.

Ponca's offense was headlined by Adie Nelson and Carlee Beckner, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Elsie Keller and her 13 assists.

Ponca's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Pierce, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ponca and Pierce will both be playing Dakota Valley the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
