Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Wins Going Away Against Asheboro

Oak Grove had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Asheboro on Tuesday. The Oak Grove Grizzlies never let the Asheboro Blue Comets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Grizzlies this season.

Cam Sharpe was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Oak Grove is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise. Sharpe was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Kaden Hart was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Oak Grove: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Zeriah Thomson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
