Baseball Recap: Oldham County Comes Up Short

Oldham County blew Shelby County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Shelby County got their revenge. The Colonels fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 7-5. The Colonels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jackson Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Oldham County and nudges their season record down to 7-9-1. As for Shelby County, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

Looking ahead, Oldham County will host Ballard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelby County has already played their next game (against Eastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
