Basketball Recap: First Baptist Comes Up Short

First Baptist had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the FAU High Owls on Thursday, falling 60-36.

FAU High got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jarret Mauvais out in front who went 9 for 17 on his way to 24 points. Mauvais' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shepherd Britton, who went 8 of 16 en route to 17 points.

FAU High is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for FAU High, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-35 win against Sheridan Hills Christian on the 20th.
