Basketball Game Preview: Glenvar Highlanders vs. Goochland Bulldogs

The Glenvar Highlanders and the Goochland Bulldogs will face off at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Glenvar has given up an average of 61 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Glenvar earned a 66-57 win over William Byrd. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenvar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Doolan, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 30 points and three steals. Ryder Francisco was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Goochland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Orange County 68-34.

Goochland's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Glenvar, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
