Basketball Recap: Hesperia Comes Up Short

Hesperia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Mason County Central Spartans 75-24. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 69-33 defeat last Friday.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Mason County Central, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.

Hesperia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mason County Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Shelby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelby's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Mason County Central's offense will have their work cut out for them.
