Basketball Game Preview: Kingsland Knights vs. Lyle/Pacelli Athletics

The Kingsland Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Kingsland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Lyle/Pacelli likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Kingsland came up short against Schaeffer Academy and fell 66-57. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lyle/Pacelli, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took down Medford 68-51 on Saturday. The Athletics haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kingsland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 3-20.

Everything came up roses for Kingsland against Lyle/Pacelli when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 92-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingsland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
