Baseball Recap: Antelope Takes a Loss

Antelope came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-3 to the Laguna Creek Cardinals. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Antelope saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Coates, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Nick Ehrman was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Antelope has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Laguna Creek, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Coincidentally, Antelope and Laguna Creek will both be playing Christian Brothers the next time they take the field. The Titans will head out to face the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
