Softball Game Preview: Felicity-Franklin Cardinals vs. Clermont Northeastern Rockets

The Felicity-Franklin Cardinals will head out to face off against the Clermont Northeastern Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Felicity-Franklin's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Felicity-Franklin fell victim to East Clinton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Astros.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Clermont Northeastern was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamsburg. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Clermont Northeastern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Brown, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Clermont Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Felicity-Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Felicity-Franklin suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Clermont Northeastern when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
