Baseball Recap: John Marshall Rockets vs. Mankato West Scarlets

John Marshall extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mankato West Scarlets. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the Scarlets when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

John Marshall saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Erickson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Erickson's first of the season.
