Recap: Lee County Yellow Jackets vs. Scotland Fighting Scots

The Lee County Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Scotland, falling 65-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Lee County has suffered yet this season.

Lee County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kamaree Butler, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. That was a full 45.9% of Lee County's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nic Farrow was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Scotland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Lampley out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shyland Harrell, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Lee County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Scotland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee County will take on Southern Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Lee will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive. As for Scotland, they will head out on the road to take on Westover at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Westover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matches -- so hopefully Scotland likes a good challenge.
